Our objectives are:

To develop students mentally, physically, socially, and emotionally so that they will grow and develop healthy lifestyles and become productive contributors to society.

To emphasize Physical Fitness so that students may develop confidence in themselves and gain self esteem.

Students are required to dress out in the appropiate Germantown Gym Suit each period that they are assigned to Physical Education.  Gym suits and participation along with skills and written tests determine grades for students.

Physical Fitness: State of Tennessee Standards 4.0, 4.1, 4.2, 4.12 Week of 8/21/06
Objective: To develop Agility, Strength, Power, Speed and Cardiovascular endurance
so that students will gain and maintain healthy lifestyles.
Circuit Training will be performed with 7 stations comprising of the following components;
Activity——To Measure
1. Shuttle Run- Agility

2. Push-Ups- Strength

3. Sit-ups- Abdominal Strength

4. Sprints- Speed

5. Standing Broad Jump- Power

6. Run/Walk- Cardiovascular Endurance

7. Jump-Ropes- ” ”

A Question and answer period will occur after each session.
